What is the SoundBase?
Make sure that the Vibe is on and the green indicator is illuminated.
What if I do not hear any music once my Vibe is connected to my audio source?
The green indicator will start to flash when you have used 2/3 of the battery capacity. You will need to charge the Vibe soon. The green indicator will turn off completely when the battery is fully drained.
The green indicator is flashing—what does that mean?
The Vibe battery is completely drained. You need to recharge the Vibe battery.
The green indicator has turned off completely but I did not push the Vibe power button. What should I do?
The Vibe does not have any volume control. Use the volume control on your audio source to raise and lower the sound volume.
My Vibe is making sound, but the volume is low. How do I turn up the volume?

The indicator will blink until the battery is charged to 50% capacity. Once over 50% charge, the indicator will continue to glow but will stop blinking. The indicator will turn off completely when the battery is fully charged.
My Vibe is charging but the amber indicator is blinking. What does that mean?
Make sure the Vibe is sitting on top of the SoundBase accessory or any hollow surface, like a box.
I have raised the volume on my audio source but the Vibe sound volume is still low and/or is distorted.

The Tunemount is a mount that allows you to play your Shake or Vibe on any surface by using the supplied double back adhesive tape strips.
What is the Tunemount?
The Shake Ring slips over the Shake and holds the Shake in place when playing audio, keeping it from shaking off the playing surface.
What is the Shake Ring?
With both helmet mounts the volume is good until you reach 20-25mph. At this point you will start to lose audio clarity and volume due to wind noise with bike helmets.

How do I attach the Tunestrap Mount or view sample attachment scenarios?
The Tunestrap Helmet Mount is a helmet mount which holds the Shake and allows you to attach the Shake to vented bike helmets (both road and mountain).
What is the Tunestrap Helmet Mount?
Smooth Helmets:
1. Make sure the Exciter, (speaker looking profile), on the bottom of the Shake passes through the Gecko Mount and is coming in full surface contact with the helmet. If full surface contact is not made between the helmet and the exciter try repositioning the Gecko Mount to another location on the back of the helmet.
2. Also make sure the Shake is fully seated into the Gecko Mount and the 2 front tabs are seated in the mating slots. Make sure the locking latch is also covering the rear tab.
Vented Helmets (Using Tunestrap):
1. There is a small disc sown into the bottom of the Tunestrap neoprene sock which holds the Shake. Make sure when attaching to the helmet the disk comes in contact with at least 1 ridge of the vented helmet. Preferably towards the back or top of the helmet.
2. Make sure the tension on the mounting strap which feeds through the helmet is right. If you do not pull the strap tight enough then you will hear distortion and possibly loose volume. If you pull too tight the exciter in the Shake will buckle and you will lose volume.
3. Start playing your audio through the Shake. Then adjust both sides of the strap until you reach the optimal audio quality and volume.
The audio and/or volume sounds distorted when attached to a helmet. What do I do?

How do I attach the Gecko Mount or view sample attachment scenarios?
The Gecko Helmet Mount is a helmet mount which holds the Shake and allows you to attach the Shake to Solid Surfaced helmets like Snow, BMX, Full Faced Biking, and Skate helmets.

Does Tunebug offer a battery replacement or upgrade?
You must use a recycle station that accepts Lithium Polymer batteries.
Do not try to remove the battery—simply recycle the entire device.
What do I do when the battery finally wears out? Do I just throw it away?
The battery is internal, and there is no need to replace it as it is a rechargeable battery.
How do I replace the battery?
The battery will provide years of enjoyment. Final battery life depends on charging frequency.
Will the battery ever wear out?
1. First try plugging in your USB Charging cable into a power source, then plug the other end into the Shake. Remove the cable from the Shake and it should now be reset.
OR
2. Allow the battery to completely run down until the Shake automatically shuts off. This will reset the Shake and you’re ready to start charging your unit.
The LED on my Shake is solid Red or Blue and I cannot turn my Shake off.
You must first pair the Shake with a Bluetooth device before the Shake will go to its normal slow Blue Flashing state.
When I first turned the Shake on it went into a Red/Blue flashing mode and will not turn off or on. What do I do?
The Shake is in a Volume Loop mode. Simply touch either Volume Up or Down to take the Shake out of the loop mode.
The Shake keeps beeping and flashing green. What do I do?
Make sure the Shake is sitting on top of a surface and the bottom of the Shake is not tilted. Cardboard/books/hollow boxes and containers are great surfaces for getting good sound.
I have raised the volume on my audio source but the Shake sound volume is still low and/or is distorted.
1. When using a 3.5 mm audio cable, make sure the audio is up on both the Shake and your audio source.
2. When using Bluetooth, make sure the audio source volume is up and not paused or muted.

2. Also confirm that the Shake audio cable is connected to the audio source headphone or line-out jack.

My Shake is connected and the Blue indicator is on, but I am not hearing any sound. What should I do?
Make sure that the Shake is on and the Blue indicator is flashing.
What if I do not hear any music once my Shake is connected to my audio source?
1. Go to your audio source Bluetooth setting and enable your audio device to search for Bluetooth devices.
2. From the Off state, cover both dimpled touch sensitive areas on top of the Shake and hold them there for 5 seconds or until the Shake LED goes from a slow Blue Flash to a Blue/Red fast flash. The Shake is now in Pair Mode trying to connect with your audio source.
3. Next, go back to your audio source. The audio source will ask you if you want to connect to your specific Shake identified by the Bluetooth address located on a label on the side of the Shake. Accept the connection.
4. Once you see confirmation the connection has been made on your audio source the LED on the Shake will go back to a slow Blue flash. You are now ready to play audio.
5. Some audio source will ask for a “Pass Key”. Simply type “0000” then connect.
How do I connect the Shake to my audio source using Bluetooth?
Using the audio cable (3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug) included with your Shake, plug one end into the audio jack of the Shake and the other into your audio source headphone or line out jack.
How do I connect the Shake to my Audio Source using a 3.5mm Audio Cable?
Not really. More power is required to overcome the combination of helmet weight and ambient motorcycle noise.
Does the Shake work with a motorcycle helmet?
Unlike the Vibe, which is made of metal, the Shake is designed of lightweight plastic for comfort and safety while attached to your helmet. This means that, when placed on a flat surface, the Shake will mostly vibrate itself and not the surface.
We are currently designing accessories that will allow you to attach or weight down the Shake so that it could be used for this purpose in the future.
Does the Shake also work on a flat surface like the Vibe?
Turn your iPod or MP3 player to maximum volume after you’ve chosen the music you want to play, and then control the volume when connected to the Shake using the shake volume controls.
What is happening is by design. The Shake was designed to automatically shut off after about 2 minutes when it senses no audio voltage input. In the event the Shake is in a backpack or pocket and it accidentally turned on, it would not run the battery down.
How do I solve a problem with the Bluetooth cutting in and out and with the audio stopping after a couple of songs?
1. Use the touch sensitive dimpled areas on top of the Shake and adjust the volume up or down by tapping or holding your finger down.
2. The left side with 1 dimple is volume down and the right side with 2 dimples is volume up.
How do I adjust the volume on the Shake?
Place your hand on top of the Shake for 3 seconds. The Shake will Chime a tone and flash red, then power down.
